Music in times of Chilean Dictatorship

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to write about the music in times of the Chilean Dictatorship.
Those times were a hard period in the history of Chile, and because of this the music was a vehicle for the people to express the disagree or unhappiness of themselves.
Besides, some bands and singers were persecuted because their political thoughts was reflected in the lyrics of their songs, some of them in a direct way, and others in a poetical form.
I think that the music of that period transcended strongly in the life of the people who live that obscured times, and in their sons or grandsons, etc.
Many of this bands and singers made their careers in the exile, so they had the opportunity to show their world in audience far away of their own country.
Some of this bands were: Victor Jara, tortured and killed in September, 16th (1973). Inti Illimani, Quilapayún and Illapu exiled in Europe and other countries of Latin American. Patricio Manns, Ángel Parra, both exiled too, and other group of artists who stayed in Chile, and that through different songs they expressed their ideas about a better society.
