Good and Bad Points (so far..)

This year have been very sad to me, and the worst until now. But I would like to start with the good things.
To be honest, I couldn't remember good things inmediately, but searching deep in my mind, I remembered that this year I went to Lollapalooza's Festival in April, and it was an amazing experience. I know that people may think that it's not something relevant, but I love to go to concerts, and it's make me really good because I feel happy and in that occasions I can forget all my troubles. Also, this year I traveled to Dominican Republic and it was really wonderful all this stuff about knowing a new country, meet new people, new food, etc.
But by other way, academically, I'm a mess. For personal reasons I have many problems with my career, and my motivation right now is under zero. What a trouble! :( But that's something I don't like to talk about so let's go to the next point.
Resuming this year there's a lot of things I didn't do yet like get my license drive. I really hope that next year I can pass the driving lessons and start to drive. I want to have my own car, but for that I need to save money, a lot of money.
I think I'm going to start working soon because this last week my life changed, and I feel that this change is going to be significant to me.
For now I just hope that this year ends good. Nothing more.

Books that reveal secrets about history

Through history, we have known about many secrets that have been revealed in books, documentary or even in book-based movies.
Many of this books have revealed secrets that we never had listened before, like Da vinci’s Code that write about a new history of Cristianism where suggests that Jesus had children with Maria Magdalena, and all that lineage forms the “Merovingian Distany”. Also, in this book it’s expossed that Maria Magdalena is in fact the “Holy Grail”, because she had the bloodline of Christ.

As well, talks about secret societies likeTemplars or Masons, and to be honest I find really interesting to imagine that all this secrets are real, but seriously, nowadays there are no strong proofs that all this secrets are true.
In some cases, are just theories that coincides very well with the history, and for people like me that don’t believe strongly in churchs and that stuff, it’s really fascinating to think that it could be some true in this theories.

By the way, I don’t know many books that it isn’t about Templars or Masons, that topic is the one that intrigates me, and I hope someday I could read all the books about that stuff.
Finally, to be honest I don’t know about an author that was censored or repressed for publishing this kind of information, but I know that in the case of Da Vinci’s Code there was a problem with another book named "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", in which this book accused of plagiarism to Dan Brown's novel because of the similarities of the stories.
If you know about other interesting books that reveals secrets, please write it in the comments.
Bye :)

HOW GREEN ARE YOU?

For so long, I've heard about how we could help our planet through recycling and others ways to keep it green and healthy for ourselves. But where we learn it? I think that we learn things like this with experience, and in a few times in school practices or in internet, too.
I've incorporated recycling in my habits for example: carrying bottles of glass to the containers that are in some corners of my city, or also classifying plastic from paper or cardboard. Some time ago I was collecting taps, but it was difficult because I don't drink much soda, so I left it :(
Too, in some cases, the clothes that I don't use anymore I give it to the personal that works in the building that I live, inside of throwing to the bin.
I thank God that my family don't have a car, so to go to other places we use our legs or the subway, if the place is far away from us.
I haven't joined or supported any eco-organizations, I don't know why, it might be because I haven't heard of any near of me, or maybe just for being lazy.
I would like to recycle more, because in that way I would help the planet, and at the same time, I can get some money.
To reduce the carbon footprint I try to use my laptop less time than before. I try to use it just if it's really necessary, but to be honest, there are some days that I forget this, and turn on the laptop to procrastinate all day.
Finally, I think that in Santiago we need more education about the garbage in the streets. Often I get angry when I walk because when I look to the ground all I see is garbage from other people and I don't understand why is too difficult for them to go to the bin. Is it too hard? I don't think so. And maybe starting for that we can make Santiago a greener city.

Music in times of Chilean Dictatorship

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to write about the music in times of the Chilean Dictatorship.
Those times were a hard period in the history of Chile, and because of this the music was a vehicle for the people to express the disagree or unhappiness of themselves.
Besides, some bands and singers were persecuted because their political thoughts was reflected in the lyrics of their songs, some of them in a direct way, and others in a poetical form.
I think that the music of that period transcended strongly in the life of the people who live that obscured times, and in their sons or grandsons, etc.
Many of this bands and singers made their careers in the exile, so they had the opportunity to show their world in audience far away of their own country.
Some of this bands were: Victor Jara, tortured and killed in September, 16th (1973). Inti Illimani, Quilapayún and Illapu exiled in Europe and other countries of Latin American. Patricio Manns, Ángel Parra, both exiled too, and other group of artists who stayed in Chile, and that through different songs they expressed their ideas about a better society.

A country I'd like to visit

I have always wanted to visit Scotland because I think it is a beautiful country and it is full of a new culture for me.
Through pictures or movies I have seen their green grasslands and magnificent castles of stone, full of history.
From this country I know the legend of Lock Ness, Glasgow (the capital), Glasgow Rangers (the football team), Ewan McGregor, their bagpipes, Haggis and the most famous drink: Scotch.
I would like to visit Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Highlands, all of the castles I can, the lakes and some pubs to taste Scotch.
If I could I would love to live there or stay in the country for a long long time because it will be interesting for me. A brand new experience. And obviously I will have to work there, maybe as a waitress to pay bills, and to buy things for me. But I think it would be more exciting if I travel with a friend or maybe a boyfriend, if I have one for that time.

Animals as victims of human impact on nature

Hi! Today I'm going to write about an awful and horrible topic: the endangered animals.

I know a few animals who are victims of the human depredation (hunters) in my country. For example: the pudú and the condor are some of this endangered species.
Constantly we are watching in the TV, news about this situation in which we know about the shocking decrease in the numbers of the different species, and last but not least, the hunters are photographed with their prey wanting to demonstrate their achievements, often without knowing that they are causing a damage to both: the animal and the environment.

I think in recent times, dams have been an important factor that has affected the ecosystem in some species, as well as pollution of the city, or the projects like 'Pascua Lama', etc, because it's a change in the habitat of this animals, and directly affects their lifestyle, food, reproduction, and also begins to slowly kill the species involved, only by human selfishness, by the ambition to build these things and get more money, even no matter of the people who live in those places.
Finally, exists Greenpeace that it's one of the biggest organizations against the human impact in nature, especially in the ocean and in the forests. They are constantly collecting signatures, and making ads in networks to stop some iniquities, and also the activists fight against political people, organizing public events where they risk their lives for their ideals.
